Yearbook

Student Yearbook Committee members help photograph events, design pages, and produce DYA's full-color yearbook. Students gain creative, technical, and organizational skills, and high school credit may be available for participation.

Throughout the year, DYA hosts memorable events including Family Nights, performances, and community gatherings. These activities strengthen relationships and create lasting memories for students and parents alike.

Girls' Night & Boys' Night

Special evenings designed specifically for boys and girls provide fun activities, meaningful friendships, and encouraging mentorship. These events help students build confidence while enjoying age-appropriate fellowship.

Culinary Arts & Home Economics

Students gain practical life skills through cooking, baking, nutrition, sewing, budgeting, and household management activities. These hands-on classes prepare students for everyday life while making learning enjoyable.

Science Fair & STEM Opportunities

Students explore science through hands-on experiments, research projects, and presentations showcased during DYA's annual Science Fair and Family Dinner.

Fine Arts, Art Shows & Skits

Students express their creativity through visual arts, drama and special performances. Family Night features dinner together, student artwork, skits, and presentations that celebrate learning and creativity.

Special Guest Speakers & Enrichment Classes

Community professionals, authors, first responders, veterans, entrepreneurs, and other special guests visit DYA throughout the year. These experiences expose students to new careers, ideas, and real-world learning opportunities.

High School Credit & College Readiness

Eligible courses and extracurricular activities may count toward high school credit while helping students build strong transcripts and portfolios. DYA prepares students with academic skills, leadership experiences, and practical knowledge for college, careers, and beyond.
