Enrollment and Tuition Policy for Discipled Youth Academy

This is the legal document that families sign upon registration.

This document serves as a binding agreement between Discipled Youth Academy (the "Academy") and the registering parent(s) or legal guardian(s) (the "Parent(s)") regarding the enrollment and tuition responsibilities for the 2025-2026 academic year. By submitting a registration form, Parent(s) agree to the terms outlined below: You will have a financial obligation to Discipled Youth Academy for the 2025-2026 school year and your responsibility is to pay such obligation in a timely manner.

ABSENCES: Whether or not your student attends class each in-person day, you are responsible for the full scheduled payment amount of tuition due at every cycle for the entire registered school year.
1. Change and Drop Policy 1st-12th Grade Students Any changes to days attending or students attending must be finalized by August 10, 2025. Changes requested after this date are subject to the terms outlined in this agreement.

2. Financial Responsibility After the specified deadline August 10, 2025, for 1st-12th graders. Parent(s) remain financially responsible for tuition for the remainder of the 2025-2026 school year. Changes made in violation of this agreement will not relieve Parent(s) of their financial obligations unless explicitly approved by the Owner of Discipled Youth Academy. Tuition payments are divided into 10 payment cycles for the full school year.

Continuation of Tuition Payments: Parent(s) must continue to pay tuition for all registered students and scheduled days, regardless of attendance.

3. Circumstances for Release from Financial Responsibility  Parent(s) may only be released from their financial obligation under the following circumstances: The parent(s) becomes unemployed. The child enrolls in a public school. The family relocates 35 miles or further from Discipled Youth Academy (unless the child previously attended from an equal or greater distance). The death of a parent/guardian or their enrolled student(s). Notification Requirements Parent(s) must provide a 4-week written notice or have a direct conversation with the Owner to request any changes to days attending or student enrollment. If circumstances occur where prior notice is not possible (e.g., sudden job loss or death), exceptions may be granted at the Owner's discretion.

4. Conditions for Continued Financial Responsibility A 4-week written notice does not automatically absolve the Parent(s) of their financial obligations. Unless explicitly approved by the Owner, Parent(s) remain responsible for tuition payments for the remainder of the academic year.

5. Agreement to Terms By submitting the registration forms for the 2025-2026 school year, Parent(s) acknowledge and agree to the following: The registration applies to the entire academic year. Parent(s) have read and understood this agreement and are legally responsible for tuition payments in accordance with these terms.

At Discipled Youth Academy, we are more than just a school—we're a community. Because we are a small, privately operated academy, every student and family matters deeply. When even one student withdraws, it has a significant impact—not only on the relationships and connections our students have built, but also on our ability to operate smoothly throughout the year. Unlike larger schools or institutions supported by churches or outside donors, DYA relies solely on tuition to fund everything we do. Every dollar that comes in goes right back out to pay our dedicated instructors, rent the spaces we need (especially for specialized classes like Culinary Arts and Home Economics), and purchase the supplies that make each day rich with learning and joy. Our goal is to create core memory experiences for your children—moments full of laughter, hands-on learning, creativity, and growth. These experiences are meaningful, but they come at a cost. We have weekly science labs that require quality equipment and materials. Our Culinary Arts program needs fresh ingredients and cooking supplies. Home Economics, Art, clubs, special events, and even simple celebrations like ice cream parties—all require ongoing funding and support. We want you to know that your commitment makes all of this possible. You’re not just enrolling in a school—you’re partnering in a mission to build something extraordinary for your children and others in our community. Thank you for believing in the vision of DYA and walking alongside us to make it a place where faith, learning, and lasting memories grow together.
